Calatayud is located in the north- eastern portion of Spain and produces some of the highest quality wine in the country! The region is famous for its bold red wines and Garna- cha accounts for more than half of the region’s production. Calatayud’s climate and geography are ideal for the Garnacha grape with its rugged terrain, high altitudes, and extreme temperatures. These elements combined make it possible for tough Garnacha grapes to produce high amounts of residual sugar, which results in a bold, high alcohol, balanced wine. The Show Garnacha is hand harvested from vineyards that are at least 40 years old, preserving the purest expression of this world-renowned grape. The wine is fermented in concrete tanks and 20% is aged in oak.
The Show Garnacha is an extravagant Spanish beauty with tempting aromas of spice, intense black cherries, and mocha. It has relatively high alcohol content yet is soft on the palate, with layered flavors of black raspberry, liquorice, and black pepper with hints of earth and oak.
